Pointe de La Torche is one of Finistère’s most spectacular natural sites.

With its cliffs, dunes, vast beaches, and windswept heathland, this rocky headland offers breathtaking scenery. It is a must-visit destination for lovers of nature, hiking... and surfing.

An iconic panorama of the Pays Bigouden

Located in the municipality of Penmarc'h, Pointe de La Torche marks the southern entrance to the Bay of Audierne.

The trail circling the headland offers superb views of the coast, fine sandy beaches, and Atlantic waves.

Along the way, you will also discover several megalithic remains including a burial mound topped with a passage grave that bear witness to the site's ancient history.

A surfer's paradise

La Torche is one of Brittany's most renowned surf spots.

Thanks to its consistent waves and offshore winds, it attracts surfers, bodyboarders, kitesurfers, and windsurfers from beginners to experts all year round.

Even if you don't practice these sports, the spectacle is well worth seeing. From the dunes or the trails, it is always a pleasure to watch the athletes in action against the backdrop of the ocean.

Preserved nature to explore

Pointe de La Torche borders the Bay of Audierne, a protected natural area known for its ecological richness.

Its long pebble beach, Ero Vili, is one of France's key bird migration areas.

Bring a pair of binoculars and take the time to observe the many species that stop over in this wild landscape.

Between land, sea, and sky, the site invites you to slow down and fully enjoy the beauty of the Breton coastline.
