The magnificent Bay of Audierne

Ideal for people who dream of wide open spaces, natural surroundings and fresh air!  Here you are at the west-facing tip of Finistère, with nothing but the ocean in view. This is the real Brittany! From the Pointe du Raz to the Pointe de Penmarc’h, the Bay of Audierne is an astonishing, all-natural environment. There is an exceptional wealth of flora and fauna and the landscapes are highly varied, with shingle bars, sandy beaches lined by dunes, marshes and ponds, cliffs getting taller as they get closer to the Pointe du Raz, the River Goyen estuary that changes course with the changing tides, the busy harbour of Audierne and the historical town centre.

The long sandy beach (4 km) in Kérity, near the magnificent Eckmühl lighthouse, is perfect for families and faces full south. It is good for bathing and water sports. The sailing centre offers a variety of activities such as catamaran sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, etc.
Steir beach also attracts shellfish collectors at low tide.

Pen Morvan, Kermor, Treustel and Sillon beaches

These delightful family beaches are in fact a long bar of fine sand between Ile Tudy and Sainte-Marine. A path below the dune provides access to the beaches and dunes, and leads onto the long-distance GR34 footpath, the legendary Customs Officers’ path. Jogging and biking are also popular activities.

Le Trez beach
Le Trez is a beautiful long beach, ideal for families, at the centre of the Bénodet seaside resort. Supervised in the summer, it has a magnificent view of the Combrit Sainte-Marine headland and the ocean. It has leisure facilities for all ages: Club Mickey (children’s club), rental of windsurf boards, dinghies and catamarans. The bars, restaurants, shops, thalasso & spa centre, and casino are close by!
